Organic Fruit Forest - 350+ Trees, 50 Varieties, Near Mackay
At the heart of Mt Jukes Eco Retreat is a working fruit forest โ over 350 trees across more than 50 varieties, grown organically on the property, 30 minutes from Mackay and 60 minutes from the Whitsunday Coast.
It isnโt landscaping. Itโs a living ecosystem, planted with purpose and still growing.
Tropical Fruit From Around the World
Mango, guava, grapefruit and banana. Mulberry, longan, jaboticaba, noni and jackfruit. Native Burdekin plum, passionfruit vines, citrus groves, and rare tropical varieties you wonโt find in a supermarket.
Some youโll recognise. Many you wonโt. All of them organic, all of them part of the food that ends up on the table here.

Walk the Forest With Our Guide Booklet
Staying and day retreat guests are free to wander the orchard with our educational booklet โ a guide to each tree, where in the world it comes from, and the goodness it carries.
Itโs a quiet way to spend an hour. Pick something ripe. Learn something new. Slow down to the pace of the land.
Grown for Guests, Wildlife and Community
The forest feeds more than our guests. Birds and wildlife move freely through it, and as the trees mature and the harvest grows, surplus produce is gifted to local community organisations supporting people doing it tough in the Mackay region.
What the property grows, the community shares.

Part of an Off-Grid Eco Retreat
The fruit forest is one piece of a fully off-grid eco retreat near Mackay โ solar powered, spring fed, and managed on permaculture principles. The best way to see it is to come and walk it.
Join a Day Retreat or stay overnight, swim in the natural spring, and explore the forest at your own pace. A real, living place. Not a manicured resort.
